DRF is a Veteran owned 501c3 Non Profit established in January 2023. Our mission is to provide faith based healing opportunities to Veterans and other trauma survivors while supporting rewilding efforts in South Africa.

DRF has four missions:

SOS Soldiers on Safari

SOS is a 10-day program that takes place in Limpopo, South Africa, where wildlife conservation and rewilding surround healing, self-identity, team building, and photography. The final question is Who am I?

Rhino Regiment

RR provides leadership, advising, training and embedding combat veterans with volunteer anti poaching individuals protecting endangered species to include apex predators.

This unique journey blends wildlife conservation efforts with personal renewal, offering participants a path toward healing through service, reflection, and deep connection with nature. As they help protect endangered species and support local conservation initiatives, they rediscover meaning, resilience, and the strength to grow beyond trauma.

Freedom Shield Initiative

Anti- and Counter-Human Trafficking Mission

The Freedom Shield Initiative is a specialized mission of the Deeper Roots Foundation dedicated to combating human trafficking and supporting organizations working to protect the vulnerable and restore freedom to those exploited by criminal networks. Built upon decades of global operational experience in security, intelligence, and humanitarian environments, this initiative provides faith-centered support through intelligence-informed risk analysis, security advising, specialized training, and operational guidance for teams operating in complex and high-risk regions.

Recognizing that those who stand against trafficking often face dangerous and unpredictable environments, the Freedom Shield Initiative equips mission partners with enhanced situational awareness, protective strategies, and crisis-response capabilities designed to strengthen resilience while preserving the compassion and dignity at the heart of rescue and restoration efforts. Our approach integrates professional security principles with a biblical worldview, affirming that protecting the oppressed and confronting injustice reflects God’s call to pursue justice, mercy, and restoration.

Through collaboration, training, and strategic support, the Freedom Shield Initiative seeks to empower organizations, leaders, and communities to disrupt exploitation, safeguard teams, and advance lasting freedom and healing for survivors worldwide.

Missions’ Security Advisory Group

The Missions’ Security Advisory Group (MSAG) is a specialized initiative of the Deeper Roots Foundation, created to help mission teams serve boldly, wisely, and safely in complex environments around the world. Born from decades of global operational experience and a shared commitment to faith-driven service, MSAG equips ministries and organizations with practical security guidance grounded in biblical principles.

Through strategic advising, intelligence-informed preparation, specialized training, embedded operational support, and comprehensive risk assessments, MSAG strengthens mission readiness while preserving the heart of ministry. Our approach recognizes that faith and preparation are not opposing forces — they work together, enabling teams to step forward with confidence, resilience, and discernment.

Guided by the Armor of God mindset, MSAG exists to support those answering the call to serve, helping them mitigate risk, protect people, and remain focused on advancing God’s mission with wisdom and courage.
